Surface Painting Workshop
THE FIRST SURFACE MAKING WORKSHOP IN BOSTON, MA!
6 SPOTS LEFT
SATURDAY, JULY 13th, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
50 Terminal St, Suite #318, (Building 2), Charlestown, MA 02129
- Bonus take-home kit + video tutorial with a recap of techniques learned in class
During the workshop, you'll learn an easy and repeatable method of creating a realistic looking faux marble surface. Each participant will get a 21"x34" laminated plywood board that they will paint their surface on with help and guidance of Svitlana Pimenov, the founder of @white.c.a.n.v.a.s .
The boards will be pre-plastered, dried, sanded and cured for your convenience. You will be shown the process of plastering on a sample board and instructed on how to handle the sanding and curing for the process takes at least 24 hours from start to finish. To ensure you've got this, we'll provide the access to the recap in the form of a bonus video tutorial.
Along with that, you'll be shown two more painting techniques: concrete gray and gray speckled designs (see photos for examples) that will also be available in the bonus video tutorial. If enough time left, you can practice these techniques in class.
You'll be provided with aprons and gloves but dress in the clothes that you don't mind getting dirty because working with paint rarely goes stain free. At the end of the class, you'll receive a bag with a DIY plaster surface kit, so you can practice plastering at home if you wish.
Any of the painting techniques learned in class can be applied over an un-plastered smooth surface, too. You'll be given some examples in class.
To make sure that every single attendee is getting proper attention and help we only open 10 spots for this class.
